Description
Join us for a performance by a string quartet of ASO musicians on the Lobby Stage at the Perelman Performing Arts Center. As part of the Park Avenue Artists’ Spotlight series, The Glenwood Quartet will bring the spirit of the American Symphony Orchestra (ASO) to this program by celebrating underperformed works alongside a well-loved masterpiece. ASO members Cyrus Beroukhim and Philip Payton, violins, William Frampton, viola, and Alberto Parrini, cello, began performing as a quartet in September 2020 at outdoor venues. The Glenwood Quartet’s debut album, Dvorak’s “American” Quartet, will be released by Epidemic Classics.
This program is free and open to the public on a first come, first serve basis with limited capacity.
The ASO’s Chamber Series is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
