New York Resounds

Description

Performed live at Bryant Park on September 11, 2026, the American Symphony Orchestra presented a memorial concert on the 25th anniversary of September 11th, New York Resounds. A full livestream of the concert is available to watch on-demand on ASO Online through October 26, 2026.

While serving as an occasion for remembrance and reflection, the program also celebrated the enduring strength of the human spirit. The majesty of Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, the anguished beauty of Gustav Mahler’s Adagio from the composer’s tenth symphony, the poignancy of George Walker’s Lyric for Strings, and additional scores, together payed tribute to the resilience, dignity, and contributions of ordinary Americans, as well as the courage and sacrifice of the heroes of 9/11.
