Description
Richard Strauss’s rarely performed Intermezzo (1924) is a charming, deeply personal opera inspired by episodes from the composer’s own married life. Blending wit, warmth, and lyrical refinement, this comedic masterpiece offers a rare glimpse into Strauss’s lighter compositional side, portraying candidly the misunderstandings and reconciliations of life with humanity, remarkable technical command, and musical sophistication.
Tickets will go on sale September 1.
